Desiderata for Business

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there is in listening to your customer.

As far as possible, without surrender,
accept the terms and conditions of your customer requests.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others,
even the unknowing customer have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive customers; they are the nemesis of good business.

If you compare yourself with the competition, you will become vain or bitter,
for always there will be new ways to compete and ways to enlarge the market and not steal market share.

Enjoy your sales and customer achievements, and plan for a better future.

Keep interested in your career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of companies.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of truth changers.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many customers are starved for people with the highest ideals and everywhere in your career you can fill this void.

Be yourself. Especially do not put on airs. Neither be cynical about passion;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it’s what separates you from the competition.

Take kindly to the experience gained by others, gracefully surrendering the things that do not work.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in during uncontrollable events.
However, do not distress yourself with what might have been.
Many fears are born of inadequate counsel and disconnection from the goals and missions of the company.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, remember that you should be your worst critic.

Customers are everyone’s responsibility, more than procedures and processes, customers are the reason the company exists.

And whether or not it is clear to you, eliminate any doubts that you can’t make the company great.

Therefore, be at peace with yourself, your perception of yourself is what matters.
Whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep pace with your inner voice.

With reports of malfeasance and corporate greed, remember entrepreneurial spirit is still the engine of business.

Be careful.
Strive to be GREAT!
